Slices of Life:
So far, so good. I have my ups and downs, as does everyone else. Today was a HUGE up though. Today is TWLOHA! To Write Love On Her Arms. If you don't know about it, google it. It's a fight against depression, suicide, and self-harm. Love is the Movement. Love is Always the Answer. I participated last year as well, a pic is in my gallery. Today I was at work and had written Love on my left arm and hand, but being a dental assistant, my lab coat and gloves covered what showed. I was EXTREMELY happy when one of my patients came in with the word LOVE written on his arm and I showed him I did too. The guy was only about 16 and only found out about it from friends today but didn't know what the whole thing was about, just thought it was cool. So I explained it and he said he would definitely tell all his friends. Most people who participate in TWLOHA has some personal story of their own, but mine isn't about me. My first roommate in college got engaged on christmas and a month later found he'd been cheating on her for over half a year. She was border-suicidal and her belief that God does not forgive those who take their own lives selfishly is probably the only thing that kept her from escalating to a lethal level. I don't exactly believe that, but I'm awfully glad she did. Our friends and I were on a constant watch for signs and it was a tough year. But she is now with the love of her life and incredibly happy having him. I remind her every so often to look at how God has blessed her for being strong. So that's 'my' story.

Halloween went down well! Had lots of fun. Hope yours were great too! I didn't do everything or exactly what I planned, but did go to dinner/bowling and then to my church event. I dressed up as a female pirate captain and then as (secret)--cuz of the bday thing, sorry can't tell until december. Oh, and because I had to work that friday, I wore my Vulcan ears at work. ^^ Hard to dress up when we have to wear scrubs and a labcoat and gloves and a mask... meh.

Which reminds of just how much I'm dying to make a science officer uniform from star trek TOS! But I have so many other projects on my list that it is not gonna happen for a while i bet. *writes down on ambition list* ...Yes, I have an Ambition List. It consists of projects I want to or have wanted to do at some point in time as well as things I want to do. For example: some steampunk costuming and a photoshoot, a victorian and/or steampunk style mad hatter's tea party photoshoot, cosplay and go to a convention, more cross-stitching, learn to knit?, snowboard/ski, ect. Yep yep.

Technically one new watcher, but the second person watched me again after changning accounts and her stuff is so great, so I figure why not feature her again anyhow? ^^

Hola! Estoy escuchando a la musica de Owl City. ?Quien aqui le gusta Owl City tambien? Owl City esta similar a Death Cab for Cutie y pienso que por eso me gusta. ?Mi español es horrible? Lo siento, yo no lo suficiente de la gramática para realmente formar oraciones que no presente simple. Por favor, ayúdame como yo trato de aprender más. Muchas gracias! :muah:
